Destruction of roads

International law strictly prohibits the Israeli belligerent from destroying roads and other public or private property, except in the very narrow circumstance where such destruction is absolutely necessary for military operations. This prohibition is a core principle of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), enshrined in both the 1907 Hague Regulations and the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention.

Documented road destruction has been found as systematically during razzias against the colonized people. It has therefore not been found as a military operation but a collective punishment, as it targets the freedom of movement.

When acts and or activities by the Israeli annexing belligerent targeting the colonized people are systematic, and or are on a large scale, we consider these acts and activities as shown in the 'breadcrumbs'. This does not include violations, as they refer to resorting to breaches of rules and international law.
