The testimony is about what took place in the Ofer prison located between Beitunia and Giv'at Ze'ev in the West Bank.

The footage below the interview shows the rape of a Palestinian man in the Sde Teiman prison in the Negev desert. The victim was later found to be a civilian instead of a member of Hamas.

The footage was leaked in July 2024 by the Israeli military lawyer, Major-General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, and made public the following month by the Israeli 'journalist' Guy Peleg. 

The leak and the publication led to a public outcry among the Israelis, not because of the rape, but because of these actions.

The Middle East Eye resorted to misleading by failing to provide information related to the footage.
